After six years of failed leadership, the stakes couldn’t be higher. America is less secure because we are mired in Iraq’s civil war, our standing in the world is in tatters, and our middle class is at risk. But, we can once again embrace responsible foreign policy and restore our moral standing in the world and with it, our security. With bold leadership we can address the great challenges before us and restore the strength of our middle class.

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I’ve worked with six Presidents and fostered relationships with world leaders. My father, a lead prosecutor at Nuremberg, taught me that evil must be confronted and defeated. But this doesn’t mean we should compromise America’s cherished principles. My administration would restore America’s security by responsibly redeploying troops from Iraq, fostering diplomacy, and restoring America’s moral authority.

My energy policy helps families combat soaring energy costs by making fuel and energy efficient vehicles and appliances more affordable. We must be honest and bold if we’re going to turn back on the clock on global warming. That’s why my plan imposes a Corporate Carbon Tax on polluters and invests those resources in clean energy technology.

Ending the middle class squeeze by focusing on kitchen table issues is at the core of my campaign. I authored the Family and Medical Leave Act which prevents millions of Americans from choosing between their job and their family. I’ve offered a healthcare plan that would provide every American with affordable, portable quality healthcare.

Americans deserve access to college. My education plan provides community college to all Americans, lowers interest rates on student loans, and increases Pell Grants to make college more affordable.
