TDP Campaign Camps are designed to train potential candidates and campaign staff on how to run an effective and successful campaign. Each camp is two days of intense training on the fundamentals of campaigns, such as message development, communication methods, fundraising, campaign planning, targeting and how to best utilize the latest technology.
During each training, experienced political professionals provide top notch presentations, detailed learning materials, interactive exercises, and feedback on technique and strategy.

In 2009-2010, Campaign Camps were held across the state to train potential candidates and staff on how to run an effective and successful campaign in the 2010 election cycle. Each camp was two days of intense training on the fundamentals of campaigns, such as message development, communication methods, fundraising, campaign planning, targeting and how to best utilize the latest technology.
The first Campaign Camp was held in Austin in early August. Soon after we hit the road and took the Camp to McAllen, San Antonio, Houston and Fort Worth. In three months, over 200 participants were trained in 14 different aspects of a campaign. During each training, experienced political professionals provided top notch presentations, detailed learning materials and feedback on technique and strategy. Participants also received advice from candidates who ran successful campaigns in competitive districts, such as Sen. Wendy Davis, Rep. Marc Veasey and Rep. Veronica Gonzales.
Our next stops were East Texas, West Texas and the Panhandle. Three Campaign Workshops were held in Beaumont, El Paso and Lubbock for candidates, County Parties and activists. Each workshop consisted of a full day of training that included 21st century political organizing with an emphasis of applying the techniques in these respective areas. In just three days, an additional 120 participants were trained and armed with the organizing tools needed to turn their corner of the state blue.
