“Today, Americans are mourning the loss of a great leader, Senator Ted Kennedy. Senator Kennedy embodied the American belief that no challenge is too great, and no individual is too small. Senator Kennedy’s unwavering commitment to building a better future for all Americans set a standard for public service that earned the respect of those who agreed with him and those with whom he disagreed. For almost a half century, Senator Kennedy was an ambassador of hope who took the message of the American Dream to people around the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with Senator Kennedy’s family at this difficult time, and our hope is that we, as a country, keep his work alive by finding a way to work together for a better future.”
