Below is a statement from Texas Democratic Party Chairman Boyd Richie on Veterans Day: 

“As Texans observe Veterans Day, it is important that we take the time to remember our men and women in uniform who courageously fought and continue to fight for our freedom. It is also fitting that we keep the victims of the senseless tragedy at Ft. Hood in our thoughts and prayers. 

“Today we honor our military families and the sacrifices of our service men and women who selflessly answered the call to protect our freedom and democracy.”
