No? Daunted by what once appeared to be a dominant GOP Super Majority?
Well, it turns out this Super Majority is mean but not nearly as tough as it looked.
Here’s our scouting report:
- First of all, it moves slow. Like, reeeeallly slow.
- And it’s scared to death of the Tea Party but has no problem picking fights with women, children, disabled persons and seniors.
- It’s prone to punching itself in the face. Like, a lot.
- Despite its size-advantage, it still fights dirty.
Democrats won a special election in a heavily Republican district Tuesday night in New York because voters hated the Medicare cuts Republicans were proposing.
Well, the cuts NY Republicans are considering are nothing compared to the cuts TX Republicans are actually making right now in their state budget. And we intend to hold them accountable.
With your support, we will make sure all Texans know about these vicious, unnecessary budget cuts Republicans are making to vital services like Medicaid and public education.
