TX Dems Statement on Rick Perry’s Announced Support of David Dewhurst’s U.S. Senate Bid

The following is a statement from Texas Democratic Party spokesperson Anthony Gutierrez on the news that floundering Presidential contender Rick Perry voiced support for David Dewhurst’s U.S. Senate campaign:
“This is great news for the many Texans who have been embarrassed by Perry’s foray into national politics.
Even though Texans won’t have a chance to vote against Perry in a presidential race, they’ll still be able to cast an anti-Perry vote against Texas Republican clones like David Dewhurst.”
