Le Lowry's Blog - January 2008
I started to catch a cold on January 2nd but went to the Democratic Party filing party anyway to say hello to friends filing for office. A week prior to that I did pick up an application to file for an open San Antonio city council seat being vacated by Kevin Wolff (A Republican who recently filed to run for a seat on the Bexar County Commisioners Court). I filled it out and decided to sit on it while I thought the whole thing over.
After meeting with a few good friends and Democrats, I decided to file the paperwork, only to get really sick and bedridden the next two days. On January 4th, the last day to file, I got out of bed and hopped up on cold medicine made it to the city clerk's office to discover I had missed the deadline to file. Oh well, better luck next time.
So, when is next time? I could make a run for the San Antonio city council in 2009, I believe the type of community experience I have and the issues are on my side, so who knows.
