Welcome to the new NOG (Neighborhood Outreach Group)Blog! These are exciting times for our Party, County, and Nation. But we have to play to win, and NOG was designed specifically for that purpose. To identify, organize, educate, energize and empower Democratic supporters, in an effort to unify, organize, and activate voters for local and national elections. For a complete definition see homepage at: //www.tcdp.net
For those who don't know, NOG was inspired in 06 by one statement from a wise, insightful, Fort Worth, "Mover & Shaker", Bob Ray Sanders, a prominent FW News Editor/Columnist. I met Bob Ray at a Mid-Cities Democrsats Club meeting in 2006, where he was a guest speaker for our club that month. In the midst of a very inspiring speech on local poitics, he paused and invited an interactive exchange with audience to encourage more participation. His audience responded with many diverse questions on the War; and both local/national politics. And finally the big question came:
Q: But, Bob how do we(DEM) win?
Pause: 5 minutes of silence.
A: WE MUST FIND A WAY TO EVANGELIZE OUR MESSAGE AND OUR SUPPORTERS!"
We(DEM)lost our hope, voice, msg, and our confidence in 2004, and we stopped talking to each other and our local political leaders. That must change if we are to recover our Party and begin a victory restoration that will put us back on track to win.
That evening in 2006, plus the war and the destruction of our country by the Bush Admin; I was stirred by something ihat I could not turn off. At the time, I did not know that Bob's words would stick in my head and heart until I sat down; researched and wrote a Grassroots organizing Strategy, now called "NOG"; which did everything Bob said above.

I have started a series of articles taking a close look at the U.S. economy. Today's article examines the public debt of the United States, how much we owe, who chareged the debt to our account, and what it means to you, me, our kids,... each citizen of our country.
If numbers absolutely bore you, this may not be one you want to read. I do think the data is important. I think we each need to know the facts, and have them available to counter the misrepresentations and misdirections distributed by the McCain campaign.
As always questions, suggestions, comments are welcomed.
