My Story: I have never voted straight ticket either way. Over the last 10-12 years of my life I have seen personally, professionally, and socially the priorities of our Government fall far from the people and favor the Elite - who generally can afford all their needs anyway. Under the "leadership" in our nation and state in the last 8+ years My vote has swayed for enough that I can proudly call myself a Democrat and defend what that stands for. I have always participated in the Democratic system but in light of the last several years' demise in our nation I find myself needing to be more active.
