State Representaive Candidate Arlan Foster to meet Supporters and Activists (Campaign)
Dear Friends and Members in and near District 18:
Arlan Foster the leading candidate in the race for State Representative in District 18 (Liberty, Polk, and part of Montgomery County), is being honored at an event sponsored by AFSCME-Council 7 in Huntsville on May 9th, 4-7 at the Comfort Suites (exit 114 / FM 1374).
Arlan is running on the Democratic ticket and reaching out to Independents and Republicans who are fed up with the Perry administration, particularly over Perry's obsession in ramming the Trans-Texas Corridor down ALL Texans' throats! (Yes, we need transportation solutions and they're out there, but folks, this ain't it.)
Arlan's opponent, incumbent Rep. John Otto, supports the Trans Texas Corridor I69 project, even though District 18 stands to lose over 8,000 acres if the Corridor is implemented, and Walker County stands to lose 5,000 acres. Arlan, just two weeks out from a hip replacement, hobbled his way to 3 hearings in his district, and 3 in nearby communities, including Huntsville. He strongly supports our call for Congressional hearings on the Trans-Texas Corridor!

Could you please mark your calendars to come to this event -- if at all possible? It's just a $10 requested donation at the door -- but no one will be turned away. If you can't come, could you donate to Arlan's campaign, to boost Arlan's efforts in East Texas? We think that it is extremely important to have this election funded as much as possible by ordinary citizens. You can make a check out to Arlan Foster Campaign and mail it to 10667 FM 1960, Dayton, TX 77535, or you can contribute securely online at his web site.
