The staff of the Texas Democratic Party work every day to fight for you and to promote Texan values. Our team supports some of the most exciting elected officials in the Democratic Party, our party leaders -- and you.

Interns and fellows play a crucial role executing the work of the Texas Democratic Party. We are always looking for talented interns in our political, research, finance and communication departments. Field Organizers

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Field Organizers. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to expand the volunteer networks. Field Organizers will manage and execute earned media tactics such as phone banks, voter registration drives, visibility events, and press conferences. Field Organizers should be high energy, outgoing, and enthusiastic.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Organizational skills and ability to meet goals and strict deadlines; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Commitment to electing Democrats; Other duties as needed; 
  • High attention to detail Location Positions will be based in the field; 
  • Frequent travel is required.

Finance Internship

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Finance Interns. Candidates should be college students or recent graduates who are looking to gain political fundraising experience. This internship is the perfect preparation for joining a top campaign's finance operation, issue organization, or state party.Interns will work in a fast-paced environment and duties will include assisting staff with donor research, creating call sheets, fundraising calls, database management, and event planning/staffing. Strong applicants will be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Political Internship

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Political Interns. Interns will get hands on experiences working at TDP’s statewide headquarters located in Austin. This is not just another paper-pushing internship – you will play a role in our coordinated campaign effort to elect Democrats all up and down the ballot across the entire state of Texas. You will learn about a modern political campaigns.Our political team is actively recruiting and helping in campaigns at all levels. Communications Internship

The Texas Democratic Party (TDP) is looking for interns to work within the communications department to foster the growth of the next generation of campaign staff and leaders.Communications Interns will play a role in our communications strategy that helps elect Democrats all across the state of Texas. Digital Internship

The Texas Democratic Party is looking for Digital Interns. The Digital Department specializes in online organizing, advocacy, fundraising, and communicating directly with the Party's long-time subscribers and newly recruited members. By using the party’s website and email lists, as well as social media, the digital department advocates for Democratic principles in Texas. Internship will include producing blog posts, photos, graphics, and other multimedia; and learning about building and maintaining an online community.Must have basic knowledge of HTML, Twitter, and Facebook. Data Internship

Data interns will work with the Data Team to procure election and polling place data, oversee TDP's voter engagement tools, and assist in maintaining the state's voter data.Must have knowledge or interest in learning SQL and VAN, and knowledge of Python is a big plus.
