For decades, it has been the Texas Democratic Party that fights for the Hispanic community, and the issues within the community. Texas Democratic leaders have consistently fought for equitable funding in our public schools. 2011 was the first time our elementary schools had more Hispanic students than any other ethnic groups. Unfortunately, it was the same year that Republicans cut public education funding by $5.4 billion.
Democrats lead in the fight for comprehensive immigration reform, the right to vote, and access quality to health care. We work to elect Hispanic leaders who represent the true interests of the community.
The great potential of the state of Texas turning Blue is made stronger with our large and growing Hispanic population. The Texas Democratic Party is proud of our record of fighting alongside the Hispanic community.
