Let's elect more Democrats

As I travel our state, I hear stories from Democrats who are thinking about running for local office that sound a lot like my own journey.

We all share so much in common. We want our hometown to thrive, for there to be good quality jobs, and to retain and attract talented people. We want the federal and state government to meet its obligations to young and old, veterans and service members, families and those just getting started.

Our state is growing more and more diverse, and that change is exciting. Opportunity is staring us in the face, but we need more leaders who empower our communities and pass progressive policies so everyone can get ahead.

Those are the reasons why I first ran for El Paso City Council, then for U.S. House of Representatives, and now U.S. Senate.

Those are the reasons why we need to build a strong bench of talented Democrats who are battle tested and ready to run for city council, school board, or mayor with the Texas Democratic Party’s Project LIFT program -- one day, a Project LIFT candidate will run for Congress too.

We've shown in the past few months that, when large groups of people get organized, we can do extraordinary things. We can win back more seats from the schoolhouse to Congress and this grassroots movement will propel us to victory.

Texas Democrats in local races can’t do it without the support of Democrats like you -- Texans who want to see change in their communities, in our state, and in our country. Can you rush a $7 donation to support this important program before the membership deadline:

chip in

We've got a lot to do. There's a bright future ahead for Democrats.

Talk soon,

Beto O’Rourke

This is one of my favorite photos. I’m intensely proud to be from El Paso and looking back at this photo gives me hope that we can help this country do the right thing.
