House Republicans are proposing more than $20 billion in cuts from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), commonly known as food stamps, through the Farm Bill. These cuts would disproportionately affect our state as 1 out of 7 Texans rely on food stamps to get by and put food on the table.
