Texas Democrats Congratulate Nominees to the U.S. House of Representatives

Austin, TX —  For the first time in at least 25 years, Texas Democrats are contesting all of Texas’ congressional seats. Over 100 candidates sought the nomination across 36 seats and the results are in. 26 congressional candidates have won their race and will charge forward to face their Republican opponents in November. Additionally, Texas Democrats are poised to elect the first two Texas Latina congresswomen ever, Veronica Escobar and Sylvia Garcia.

Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa issued the following statement:
