Austin, TX — The Texas Democratic Party is excited to announce Digital Director Brittany Switzer is being promoted to lead our communications, digital, and research teams as our first-ever senior brand director.
After leading a cutting-edge digital department that communicated with millions of Texans, raised over $4,500,000 online, and made Texas an incubator for new online strategies, Brittany Switzer will oversee the Party’s online and offline messaging efforts and serve as one of the Party’s top spokespersons.
With increasing competition for voters’ attention across platforms, the Texas Democratic Party recognizes the need for a brand director who will oversee coordinated messaging, research, and design; deliver a consistent voice and tone for our constituencies; and determine strategic execution of our Democratic agenda.
“To win, we must meet our voters where they are, at their doors, online, on the radio, and on television,” said Texas Democratic Party Chair Gilberto Hinojosa. “Over the past five years, Brittany has built one of the strongest digital programs in the nation. Now, she’ll bring new insights to all of our communications with voters.”
“No one knows the voice of our Party better than Brittany,” said Texas Democratic Party Executive Director Manny Garcia. “She has been relentless in testing and perfecting new ways to engage people and get our Democratic message out to Texans. There is no one better to lead a communications infrastructure that wraps around the lives of our voters and activists.”
“Texas is the most important battleground state in 2020,” said Texas Democratic Party Senior Brand Director Brittany Switzer. “We did amazing work in 2018. As we head towards the most critical election of our lifetimes, I’m thrilled to build on our digital, communications, and research successes as we continue to fight for a fair shot for all Texans.”
